7th February 2021 Recreating the 1930s – Day 318 since lockdown began in the UK

Oona has had me cycling in the hail yesterday and snow today, these cycling enthusiasts!

Taken today just before the snow began to fall.

We have also been recreating a picture Oona found of a cyclist on The Groves in Chester talking to a friend back in the 1930s. I have been involved in a bit of this before concerning the 1920s, see my previous blogs.

Image of cyclist talking to a friend at the end of the Chester Park suspension Bridge in Chester.

Second time I have been asked to recreate a picture from the past. Not quite there, but when you don’t know the original photographer or how they made the picture and the equipment they use, all you can do is observe and do your best. A spot the difference game if ever I saw one! We may have another go.

My time travel edit of today’s picture. I overdid the toning, me thinks!

Staying at home! – STILL Protecting the NHS – STILL saving lives

I AM STILL Keeping safe

Stay safe.
