3rd September 2020 A small intimate August Chester wedding – Day 164 in the UK

POST LOCKDOWN A small August Chester wedding Day 164

And do you recognise this?

AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE I WILL STAY AT HOME, KEEP THE 2m RULE AND WEAR A FACE MASK

Staying at home! – STILL Protecting the NHS – STILL saving lives

I AM STILL Keeping safe

It has been great to get out to do a wedding despite the challenges of coronavirus and this was an example of a special Chester wedding from registry office, to The Grosvenor Hotel, to Oddfellows.

Captured the bride and groom going in and coming out, they did not want the ceremony photographed as they wished to keep it a simple and quick business, and then off to the Grosvenor for a champagne celebration with their close family and children.

Arriving by taxi at Chester Registry Office.
Up to the entrance to see how to get in! We wait patiently as the rain goes off for a minute.
The only way to make this wedding smaller is for me to be one of the witnesses! Not required today. Despite coronavirus I love small weddings, it doesn’t get more intimate than this!
‘Just walking in the rain’, but no one is ‘sad and blue’.
Slight detour into Godstall Lane for the lights!
Down past the Cathedral on St. werburgh Street.
Arrive at The Grosvenor Hotel for the beginning of the reception with champagne for the close family.

The walk across Chester was in the rain, but that doesn’t stop the pictures being taken. The couple said they didn’t like their pictures being taken but they looked great and seemed naturals in front of the lens. Many people say this too me, more than are confident in front of the camera, perhaps that is just human nature when people are not proud and are self effacing. Will pick up the story tomorrow in the Grosvenor.

Sorry if you were expecting another critique of the Government, thought I would take a break from describing the blindingly obvious shortcomings.

Stay safe.

Welsh Government’s Guidance on weddings and civil partnerships can be found here, must get around to reviewing it:

Other matters today:

  1. Final editing on this wedding above, will oosting the pictures and USB tomorrow, hopefully another satisfied customer.
  2. Out looking for a bike for Oona so that when she is better we can get some non-impact exercise, thought about more swimming too when that becomes possible.
  3. Write this blog.
