Coronavirus LOCKDOWN – Day 54

Drain cover lifter keys.
My very own cross keys. Know what they are for?

What if I didn’t charge for wedding photography? The venue didn’t charge, the electric company didn’t charge, in fact, no one took money for any produce, product or service. Would it all collapse? Just not bothering with the paying bit at the end. No one charged for food, we all just did our bit for everyone else sharing the resources we have fairly.

It would be the attitude some have about collecting for the NHS and actual charities, unpaid, done for the good, and pleasure of helping, other people.

Here’s an alternative to a song you may know. Changed hardly any of the words. Original below.

Imagine there’s no money
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to have a debt for
And no bankers, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no cash, cards or phone apps
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of people
Imagine…
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You, you may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine…

My life:

  1. We  are now doing Adriene’s calendar yoga! Here is the link and we are going day by day now. Caspian joined us today and his ‘cat-cow’ is something to see!
  2. Power walk led by oona, still finding new paths in Blackbird Wood.
  3. At weddings I always try to go the extra mile, getting that extra picture, staying that little bit longer than expected. No extra charge.
    Wedding fireworks.
Not until on the day did the groom say there were surprise fireworks for the bride. Happy to stay and capture it for them. Taken at Plas Hafod.
    Newlyweds and Christmas lights
Did these shots of the newlyweds and the Christmas lights. Originally not a planned shot. Love the foreground bokeh. Taken at Abbots Well in Chester.
    Shy young bride.
This young bride didn’t want any bridal portraits as she ‘never looked good in pictures’, shy.I coaxed her into some wonderful photographs. Taken at the Doubletree in Chester.

Party like Gatsby at a 20's styled New Year's Eve Celebration.
People came to a ’20s themed New Year’s Eve Party and I don’t think they expected the paparazzi treatment and the chance to get a portrait in their glam. Taken at Hencote’s in Shrewsbury.
  4. Write this blog.

Spent all day with Oona, more chocolate cake!
