With Valentine’s Day around the corner would a portrait be a good gift?

I think so, but I would!

It may be a bit of a cliche but there is still something romantic about having pictures of each other or of you both together in a wallet or on a work desk. This could be simply of you or it could have some significant context, a place and background which have significance to you.

I photograph lots of couples for engagement portraits which are a usual part of a wedding package. Like most portraits sessions it usually takes an hour and from the hundreds of pictures I might take I will show the couple 30 or more to choose from. This is also an opportunity to get to know the couple a little and as a result they are much more relaxed on the day of the wedding.

The same sort of shot could be a Valentine’s Day present and you can buy a voucher on my website to present to your special person on the day itself. It can be for a portrait of both of you together, or just of one of you, or an individual portrait of just one of you. At the moment I have a discount offer going of 50% off the usual price of portrait time in my studio. I am also a happy to travel to a romantic or special location but I will charge travel expenses outside the immediate area of Chester. Give me a call on 01244 675830 if you would like to discuss the voucher and a portrait session as a gift.

All images are presented to the highest standard, I spend time adding effects from simply sharpening and increasing the vibrance of colours, turning images to black and white or airbrushing minor blemishes.

Here are some examples of Valentine’s Day and engagement portraits I have done in the past.
